This was my first LAN party, and it was damned big. It was run by NJQuake in some fire hall in southern Jersey. "WarMachine Gene" was accompanied by "Princess Stevey" on Friday morning, and we left Saturday afternoon since we both had things to do on Sunday. In between we played muchos Quake II, Quake III Test, Pod Racing, Starcraft, Red Alert, Midtown Madness, ate cold pizza, and slept on the floor. These are a few of the pix that were taken - there are no higher resolution ones available.
Rows and rows of systems with all sorts of accessories. Bunny ears for TV tuners, disco balls for...for...uh...
That's Steve standing on the right. The 10-year old kid (not seen here) who repeatedly kicked his ass in Quake II began to get wise after a while. Steve might've done something had the kid's dad not been sitting next to him.
Our sleeping accommodations. All that clicking of the mouse eventually takes its toll on you, so you need a luxurious place to pass out. |
